A Replika alternative built around voice
Live calls with 3D characters, cozy virtual dates and chats that stay on your device.
What is a good alternative to Replika?
Replika is one of the best-known AI companion apps. If you are looking for an alternative, the main things to compare are how natural voice conversation feels, how characters look and behave, what you can do together, privacy and price. Amorel is an alternative focused on live, real-time voice with animated 3D characters, in the browser with nothing to install. It adds virtual dates with scenery and music, watching videos together and recording calls, and keeps your chats in your own browser rather than on its servers.
Voice first
Amorel is designed for talking out loud: press call, speak, and she answers in about a second. You can interrupt her and she laughs and reacts like a person. Texting is there too, as one relationship.
- Real-time voice calls
- Interrupt naturally
- Texts in the same thread
More to do together
Go on dates in six scenes with music and ambience, watch YouTube videos side by side while she reacts, play word games by voice, and record a minute of your call to keep.
- Virtual dates
- Watch together
- Games and recordings
Private by design
Your chat history is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. The account keeps only your email, plan, minutes, relationship levels and a few short memories you can delete.
- Chats stay on your device
- Delete memories anytime
- Usage records deleted after 60 days
How it works
- Pick who you want to talk to. Choose a character with her own look, personality and voice, or design your own from scratch.
- Call or text her. Press call and just speak. She answers out loud in about a second, and you can interrupt anytime.
- Get closer over time. She remembers what you share. Go on dates, play games and watch videos together as you grow closer.
Frequently asked questions
How is Amorel different from Replika?
Amorel focuses on live voice calls with animated 3D characters in the browser, plus virtual dates, watching videos together and call recording. Chats are kept in your browser instead of on our servers. Which app suits you best depends on what you value most, so try both.
Is Amorel free?
During early access Amorel is free: 5 minutes of voice to start, a new free minute every 2 hours after that, and free texting within fair use. Paid plans with more minutes are coming soon; you can join the waitlist in the app.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Amorel runs in your browser on iPhone, Android, Mac and PC.
Can I bring my Replika over?
Not directly, but you can create your own character with a similar look, voice and personality, and add a short backstory.
Is it NSFW?
No. Characters are flirty and romantic but never sexually explicit. For adults (18+).
